Doorstep Banking: Your Convenience, Our Priority
Gone are the days when long queues and frequent trips to the bank were necessary for every transaction. In today’s world, convenience is paramount. With Doorstep Banking (DSB), you can now manage essential banking tasks without even leaving your home.
The Department of Financial Services introduced this facility as part of the EASE (Enhanced Access & Service Excellence) reforms, addressing both financial and non-financial banking needs. To ensure a seamless experience for all public sector bank customers, the ‘PSB Alliance’ was established under the aegis of the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA).
PSB Alliance, a joint initiative by all Public Sector Banks, offers a unified platform for delivering key customer-centric services, as envisioned by the Government of India. Through its Doorstep Banking Services, customers can efficiently handle routine banking activities without the need for branch visits, bringing convenience to the forefront of modern banking
Services offered through Doorstep Banking facility:
Document pick-up from customer:
- Cheques/Demand Drafts/Pay Orders: Customers can request the pick-up of cheques, demand drafts, and pay orders etc. for deposit.
- Cheque Book Requests: Pick-up of new cheque book requisition slips.
- Payment Requests: Standing instructions requests for enabling regular payments, RTGS/NEFT fund transfer
- Forms: 15G/15H forms, IT/GST challans, nomination forms for savings, term deposit, and current accounts, account opening/application forms, or other documents specified by the bank.
Document delivery to customer:
- Account Statements: Receive account statements at your doorstep.
- Non-Personalized Cheque Book/Draft/Pay Orders: Delivery of non-personalized cheque books, drafts, or pay orders.
- Other Documents: Account opening/application forms, term deposit receipts, TDS/Form 16 certificates, pre-paid instruments/gift cards, locker agreements, and other documents as per the bank’s guidelines.
Financial & Other Services:
- Digital Life Certificate for Pensioners: Senior citizens can submit life certificates online from home, ensuring uninterrupted pension payments.
- Cash Deposits/Withdrawals: Make cash deposits or withdraw cash at your doorstep.
- Demand Draft/Pay Order Delivery: Customers can have demand drafts/pay orders issued and delivered to their home.
Scope of the Scheme:
- Eligibility: Doorstep Banking can be offered by all the branches for customers who comply with the Bank’s KYC guidelines, as per Reserve Bank of India regulations.
- Service Area: The service is offered within a maximum radius of 5 km from the customer’s home branch.
- Operating Hours: Services registered up to 3 PM on any working day will be completed within 3 hours of request. Services booked after 3 PM will be completed by 1 PM of the next working day.
- Service Location: The service can be availed at the customer’s residence or office, provided the address is clearly mentioned in the agreement.
- Customer Inclusivity: The “Scheme” is not restricted to any particular client /customer or class of customers
Eligible Customers: Doorstep Banking is available for all sections of customers, including corporate clients, government departments, public sector undertakings, business firms, and other establishments.
Charges: Customers will be charged ₹75 + GST per service request, which will be automatically debited from their account upon placing the request.
How to access DSB service?
Customer can get himself/herself registered through Mobile App or Web Portal or Call Centre through the details given in the below table and choose the service that he/she desires to avail. Upon confirmation, the request will be forwarded to the Bank Branch and the DSB agent for rendering the service
