Prerequisites for Opening an Online Savings Account via V-CIP :
- Original PAN Card
- Mobile Number Linked to Aadhaar
- Active & Valid Email Address
- Blank White Paper with Blue or Black Pen
- Internet-Enabled Device (Laptop/Tab/PC/Smartphone) with camera, GPS and microphone facility.
Check out how easy it is to open an online account using V-CIP with this step-by-step guide:
1. Initiate online account opening on the Indian Bank website (https://videokyc.indianbank.in/#/homePage) or via the IndOASIS Mobile Banking App.
2. Enter Mobile Number & Email id and accept the consent forms. For authentication, provide:
- OTP received on the provided Mobile No.
- PAN No. (to be validated from NSDL)
3. Select the account type (Salaried Class or General Public Including Professionals)
4. Verify Aadhaar with OTP from linked mobile number. After verification, details (name, date of birth, gender) fetched from UIDAI will be displayed.
5. Select declarations and in the next screen provide personal (such as occupation, annual income, educational qualification, marital status, mother and father’s name, name on debit card) and nominee details (Name, date of birth, nominee relationship).
- If nominee shares the applicant’s address, select yes; otherwise, provide communication address.
- If the nominee is a minor, provide guardian details.
6. Permanent address of the applicant will be fetched from the UIDAI in the next screen. Select whether communication address is same or different from the permanent address. If different, then provide the communication address.
7. Based on the communication address Pin code, the nearby branches will be listed. Select the branch from the list.
8. Review entered details shown in the new screen, before final submission. At this stage, applicant can edit the details incorrectly entered during the process.
9. Download application form and proceed for video calling. Grant permissions for microphone, location, camera. After all the permissions are provided, video calling menu will get enabled. Click on the video icon to proceed for the call.
10. Read all the instructions before initiating the call. Select language and click on “Proceed”. An agent from Indian Bank’s V-CIP Hub will connect via video call.
- Process will be executed on the same day if the call is made during the timeframe of 10 AM to 6 PM. Otherwise for a call initiated after the mentioned hours, a link will be sent to applicant’s email to initiate the call on the next day without going through previous steps.
11. Once call is connected, the agent at V-CIP Hub will:
- Capture live images of the original PAN Card and applicant’s signature (to be done in front of agent)
- Interact by asking random questions for identity verification. The agent can verify all details and approve or reject the entry.
12. After the approval, the new CIF and Account No. will be communicated to the customer, through SMS and E-mail.
The customer will receive a debit card directly at their address and they can use the Green PIN facility to activate Internet Banking & Mobile Banking account credentials subsequently using the issued debit card. Cheque Book will also be sent to the customer, if opted for.
