These excluded populations often reside in rural areas, belong to lower income groups or lack access to proper documents.
In the same field, Indian bank has worked with all its heart and has strived to ensure that all necessary financial services reach each & every individual and no one is deprived of the same. Be it as basic as opening of zero balance account, making everyone aware of social security schemes such as PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY or providing basis banking services through business correspondents (BCs), the bank has worked in all the areas. Very recently bank has also rolled out IB SAATHI (IB Sustainable Access and Aligning Technology for Holistic Inclusion) aimed at providing an integrated ecosystem for all stakeholders in the financial sector through the BC channel. IB SAATHI is set to redefine the landscape of Financial Inclusion in India by offering an enhanced user experience through the simplified delivery of services, encompassing both basic and value-added offerings to customers through its BC model. With this revamped model, Indian Bank aims to provide basic banking services at all centers for a minimum of four hours per day in fixed outlets. Additionally, BC agents will extend their services directly to the doorsteps of customers, making access to financial services even more convenient and inclusive.

PMJDY has been a huge hit and under the program large number of accounts have been opened and thus proving it to be a very effective tool in promoting financial literacy.
2. Aadhaar: The Aadhaar initiative has provided a unique identification system for nearly all Indian residents, making it easier for individuals to access financial services such as Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS).
3. Digital India: The Digital India campaign has led to a significant increase in digital payments and the penetration of mobile banking services, reaching even remote areas. Now a days, even small-scale vendors including street vendors take payment through digital mode of UPI (Unified Payment Interface).
